(active and passive) to school children in Giza governorate. It has been done in
collaborationwith Ministry of
Health and Population, Ministry of Education and a five stars Hotel as a part of
it's community development activities. These intervention sessions were
conducted by Dr. Aisha Abou el-Fotouh, Dr. Eman Mahfouz, Dr. Nagah Abdel-Aziz.
2-Our team represented by Dr. Mustafa Kamal, Dr. Ebenezer Israel, Dr. Chris
Laredo, Dr.Mar-jan ostrowski , Dr. Maged Setouhy, Dr.Mohamed Hassan, Dr.Nargis
Albert, Dr.Ghada Nasr, Dr.Dina Kamel shared in the 11th Annual Meeting of
Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco and 7th Annual European Conference
March 20-23, 2005 with 2 presentations & 12 posters.
"We
also announced at the meeting the introduction of the Egyptian Society for
Research on Tobacco Prevention, and the plans to start the journal Tobacco
Control Research in Middle East and Africa by asking for reviewers and
participants."
EPSRI
members also attended meetings on starting and planning a Middle East outreach program for tobacco research.
