Force group representing different sectors of the governmental and community
sectors were selected in addition to Prof. Dr. MustafaKamal and Prof. DR. Maged
El- Setouhy as a consultant in smoking prevention
activities, The task for a group monitor the anti-smoking activities in
different sectors of the population and different aspects of prevention.

Health Habit
affecting population, Health specially smoking and role of religious leaders
in the community in combating smoking epidemic and their role in prevention
of children and youth starting smoking; also passive smoking and its hazard
and the regulation of smoking habit in public places.
Recommendations
Directed
mainly to enforce their role and they ask for repetition of such valuable
courses to another group.
World No Tobacco Day 2005
Health professionals against tobacco
The 2005 World no tobacco day, held on 31 May, focused on the important
role of health professionals in promoting tobacco free lifestyles and cultures. They
are a critical segment as they can help people by giving
advice, guidance and answers to questions related to tobacco use and its
health effects; they can also have an impact at national and international
levels through their associations by influencing policy change for better
tobacco control.

ESPRI was attended by Dr.Christopher A. Loffredo, Dr.Mostafa K. Mohamed, Dr.Aisha Aboul-Fotouh and Dr.Nargis Labib
Dr.Nargis Labib gave a presentation on the findings of the Global
Health Professional Survey in Egypt.
As a representative of ESPRI Dr.Aisha Aboul-Fotouh gave prizes to the
15 winners of ESPRI's contest which had been announced as drama
series twice weekly discussing the different problems facing smokers with
a question at the end of each one about smoking hazards on the radio for the last tow
months. ESPRI received more than 1000 letters with right answers.
ESPRI was honored for it's activities and Dr.Mostafa Kamal recieved a gift given to ESPRI.
