The workshop starts at 10 am in the
Kuwait hall of the EMRO office ,Cairo ,Egypt.

• The workshop
started by a recognition to those working with ESPRI either in the
medical field or mass media and it is a time of recognition to their
effects along the past 4 years;
• followed by a scientific session:
- Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag Eldin, spoke about smoking as a
public health problem
- Dr.Chris Lofferedo spoke about Epidemiology of Shisha in
Egypt
- Dr. Osama El-Khateeb spoke about the burden of
non-communicable diseases as an outcome of smoking.
- Dr. Fatma Elawa spoke about media and its role in smoking
prevention motivation.
